 Well, now...
« Thread Started on Feb 25, 2008, 8:30pm »

Thought I'd stick my head in here to say hi, maybe hit some of you up for ideas or opinions or whatever. Looking around, it seems that one of the moderators seems to have a low opinion of me but that's cool--that could change.

So..."hi".

We've got some big plans for your favorite merc with a mouth--and, with the addition of the character to the roster of the next "X" film, they just might get bigger. Look for announcements soon!

Hey Dan! I've been a longtime lurker on these boards but I just registered to let you that I've really enjoyed your take on Deadpool in the Wolverine Origins book.

I've been a Deadpool fan ever since the Circle Chase mini so I've been reading DP for a long time. I was not familiar with your other work (outside your issue of Agent X) so of course I was worried when I heard some of the criticisms of your work. I have to say though, I'm not anymore. If these two issues are any indication of where you intend to take our lovable merc-with-a-mouth then count me aboard for the ride.

I do have a couple questions though, that I'm sure that some around here are going to want to know as well. First of all, do you have any plans to include any of Deadpool's supporting cast in your stories? Of course I have no idea where you plan to take Deadpool in your series but do characters like Weasel, Blind Al, Agency X, or dare I say Bob Agent of Hydra have a chance of dropping in sometime? Second, and this may be too early to reveal, but are we going to see Deadpool striving to be a hero like in the past or will we see more of his dark and twisted side? And finally, when can we expect to be holding issue #1 in our greedy little hands?

Thanks alot Dan! Really looking forward to some new Deadpool adventures!

Great to see you stopped by. I'm anxiously waiting around to see what happens with the Wolverine Deadpool story. I'm even more anxious to see what your plans are for Wade, especially seeing how he is jumping 2 the big screen.

Like the post above I'm interested in your take, will it be serious or fun? Will our favorite sidekicks/supporting cast be involved (Weasel, Agent X, definitly Bob Agent of Hydra) Will the recent Cable & Deadpool play any part of your new book, seeing how he has tried to become more "heroic". Will we see Deadpool's love Chimichungas & Bea Arthur? T-ray?

d**n now you got me all excited when you said "look for announcements soon"... Can ya give us something/anything so we know it's really you & not Bob Agent Of Hydra playing some cruel joke on us.... lol

I did an interview with marvel.com that (I think) will go up Thursday or Friday, this week. It should answer most of your questions.

It's okay Dan, most people are unpopular on the internet.

I've got to say that I'm looking forward to the new series a lot. C&DP was fun, but it kinda treaded water a lot... I'll look for your Marvel interview, but I'm wondering if this Wolverine arc is leading directly into the solo series. From stuff like the new neighbor lady, to the overall tone, all that.

Regardless, good luck with the new book. Plenty of folks here'll be buying it no doubt, let's just hope for plenty of others, eh?

As far as my past works go--and since I think Deadpool fans would enjoy them--I'd recommend that you read the two Bullseye minis that I did, GREATEST HITS and PUNISHER VS. BULLSEYE.

Hey Mr. Way. I enjoyed your work on the Ghost Rider series and I'm enjoying your work on Deadpool in Wolverine: Origins. In your interviews you have impressed me with your perspective on Deadpool.

I have no idea what's up with Siryn in the X-books since I don't read them (lol), but is there any chance to have her get more of a presence in Deadpool's series? Their relationship has always given me butterflies and what happened between them was pretty abrupt and bloody (thanks to Copycat). It would be nice to see what has been going on with them... did they get a chance to explain what happened to each other? Are they still friends? Is Siryn impressed that Deadpool's so close to being a bonafide hero? Is Deadpool going to try and impress her now that he almost has a halo? lol.

YES!!! Hopefully under your guiding hand, the motor-mouth and the loud-mouth (that's what I call them, lol) will finally be together!

Since she's working with X-Factor "investigations" and Deadpool's working with Agency-X and planning on taking jobs to finance a hero career (according to Cable & Deadpool #46), there are any number of ways for them to cross paths again. I'm so excited!

Fabian Nicieza had Siryn appear in an earlier issue of Cable & Deadpool, but nothig happened between them except some unwelcomed butt touching. I was very disappointed.

Her being pregnant with Multiple-Man's child would be an interesting twist to their relationship. But if given the choice, I think Deadpool would stick by her. Afterall, she's the only person that has ever been able to control Deadpool, and she didn't even have to use her voice-manipulation ability... he even shut up when she told him to! lol.

I went on Wikipedia and it says that they got drunk and slept together, but it doesn't say anything about a relationship.
